. . Wedding Announcement

An announcement is sent to anyone that lives too far away or will be unable to attend the wedding, but would want to be informed about it.

You would not send someone an invitation and an announcement.

Unlike an invitation, announcements would be mailed the day of the wedding.

Announcement Wording

Announcements follow the same rules of etiquette that invitations do based on who is issuing the announcement, but would read something like the following:

Mr. and Mrs. William Phillips

have the honor of announcing

the marriage of their daughter

Susan Jane Phillips

to

Mr. Timothy Scott Walters

on Saturday, the tenth of November
